Man down.

Gym can be bad for you!
I have apparently suffered a minor hernia... whateva! I'm calling it a dodgy stomach. Although it does feel like I've been kicked in the balls. oooh TMI!

So it's going to be a quiet weekend for me, fortunately the rugby will keep me nicely occupied. I'm considering taking a drive somewhere out of London, but haven't decided where.

Apart from that, I've been pretty boring recently...oh... I did go to the Digital Music Awards.... oh... and saw Incubus last weekend... ok not so boring. :)

I didn't win tickets to Led Zeppelin unfortunately... (1,000,000 people registered for 20,000 tickets)

Before I sign off... here's a wicked video I found... the first minute is rubbish but trust me it gets better... it's amazing how much time some people seem to have on the hands?

When I'm 65...

... I wanna be a rock star.

Last night I went go see Rodriguez thanks to my mate Pap winning tickets and taking me along. The venue was 'intimate' to say the least, and we stood about 6 feet from the man himself. I have discovered that Rodriguez is almost unknown outside of South Africa, and at one point it was thought that he was dead. This site gives you an idea of what I'm talking about.

Anyway- the aging hippie was helped on stage where he played his music with a lot of help from this band who really carried every song. It really wasn't bad going for someone his age, and you can tell he doesn't perform that often as he often forgets where the mic is, and every now and then seems to forget where in the song he is. This did not detract from the enjoyment of the performance, and we watched in amazement- an old man having a whale of time.

I got the sense that during his prime Rodriguez didn't experience the fame that he now enjoys, and it really must be overwhelming. I must be honest and say I did spend most of the evening hoping that he wasn't about to drop dead. However he soldiered on, completed his set and still managed to mingle with the crowd afterwards. Despite the rest of the world not knowing who the hell he is, South Africans think he is a legend, and I can count myself as one of them.

" I wonder how many times you've been had
And I wonder how many plans have gone bad
I wonder how many times you had sex
I wonder do you know who'll be next
I wonder l wonder wonder I do"
